Welcome to the World

This July, I am submitting a formal dissertation on the use of Web logs and the Multinational firm as part of my MSc in Ebusiness and Innovation. While I won't be able to officially start researching and writing, I have been able to work on some things now to get them out of the way.

Since I plan to actually blog parts of the dissertation that I think a multinational audience would be interested in, I will need some industrial strength publishing software to do it. I'm taking some time now to learn Movable Type, make some customizations, and ultimately get the platform running for when I'm ready to start working on the paper. I can spend a lot of time modifying templates, installing plugins, and fiddling with RSS feeds and I want that learning curve to flatten out over the next few months.

I'm going to capture and document my research methods, as well as any insights during the writing process, and ultimately release the document into the wild later this summer. I'm interested to see how this will work out.

Note: Added 6 March. The dissertation material will not appear on this blog. I will provide an additional url sometime in the beginning of April. This blog will remain as a personal blog.
